ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser Review

I have this love-hate relationship with Android phones and to be honest, the only factor that a certain phone can use to lure me is the camera quality. ASUS started to make buzz in the market because of its great attributes and these good points that you may have heard about its latest model, the ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser, appears to be true.



Let's start of with its physical features. Zenfone 2 Laser has an implausible slim 3.9mm edges. It is comfortable to hold with the elegant design and ergonomics.

 


It has a rear key which functions for snapping selfies and adjusting volume.


It has 5 inches screen (720 x 1280 pixels) and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 which offers twice the drop-damage resistance of its predecessor, a 2.5X increase in retained strength and is 85% less likely to break no matter how often you use your phone.

Let's move to the camera. 


Zenfone 2 Laser has a 13MP PixelMaster back camera and 5MP for the front. It's f/2.0-aperture lens captures high resolution photos with zero shutter lag. The laser autofocus for the rear camera quantifies distance at lightning speed that focuses as fast as 0.2 seconds. 


Comparing the Auto and Super Resolution mode that you can use if you want more detailed shots up to 52 mega pixels. Wow!

With VSCO A6 filter.
Its camera has a lot more amazing features such as panorama (and a selfie panorama!), GIF animation, night mode and etc. The manual option can be played around if you have background in photography while the low-light works great for night-shots.

KEDS Ladies First Campaign and Fall 2015 Collection

Keds recently announced the launch of Ladies First Since 1916, this is a new global brand campaign with a new perspective about what it means to be a woman today. This campaign is inspired by women who create their own paths, make their own rules, and harness the power of femininity and strength. 



During the launch, there are notable female artists demonstrating one example of what the campaign is aiming to tell us, giving women a platform to express themselves.

Haircolor by Cedar Salon

Few weeks ago, I had my final hair color (for this year) done in Cedar Salon. Everybody knows that I change or retouch it every 3-4 months and *duh* it's holiday season! We should all look fancy shmancy and sport a new look! The change doesn't have to be drastic so I went for an edgy hair color but glamorously subtle.

Cedar Salon is located at Wilson Street, San Juan. I find the place very cozy and zen-inspired which is pretty much one of the factors to be considered in a salon. Hair color and treatments lasts more than two hours, so where you get it done should definitely be relaxing. 


I wanted a lighter shade and asked the stylist to enhance my highlights. To be honest, the exact hair color in my mind was achieved. And I'm so happy about the result!

Coat you hairstrands with some metallic hues too! Because Schwarzkopf offers colors with a metallic and iridescent polish. Lustrous tones that ranges from warm to cool adds a bold, unique touch to the hair, giving you fashionably brilliant locks!



After coloring my hair, I had a treatment using the Japanese brand Milbon which effectively makes hair smoother. This deep-conditioning treatment takes three steps to soften the hair: amino oil to smoothen hair's surface, a veil that seals in moisture, and a collagen as a top coat.

2015: Adventures and Misadventures

Every time I start another year, I constantly ask myself, “What’s the worst thing that I’ve done this year?” you say, “Why?”Here, love it or not, I’m this person who takes risks in all facets in life. If I tell you what those are, I’d be a playwright of a five-hundred page tragedy. Lol.


Twenty Fifteen has been the most distinct year for me, and wretchedly, it’s because of a “heart-break”. For the first time in years, I’ve finally felt it and I’ve never been more grateful enough for that because what if I experienced it after three or five years? For sure I’d be missing out a lot about life and mainly, living. The same year, I mastered the art of trailing distinct people and trust me, as we grow older; we need lesser people in life. No, scratch that, because of it, more people came and essentially, mattered. Take note, I met them when I’m in my most horrible self and they actually stayed. And with this, I well-read that it’s not about how long you’ve known a person, it’s about the value of the person itself.

This year, I also traveled, conquered my fears and did few “first times”.

Surfed and spent my birthday in La Union.


Climbed Mt. Batulao. (Hi, Daim :D)


Explored Singapore with one of my closest friends, Joana.


I can't call it a year without visiting my favorite island, Boracay.
Also did cliff-diving for the first time!



Visited Bataan for a shoot with my blogger friends!


Conquered Cebu with my new found friends. More like, family.



Ticked off Bali, Indonesia from my bucket list with my childhood best friend, Sheri! 



Visited Kuala Lumpur alone. My first time to travel alone.


Lastly, my first time to travel out of the country for work. Hello, Bangkok!

Last December, me and my fellow bloggers were invited by Malissa Kiss Philippines to visit their headquarters in Bangkok, at the same time, do a quick tour around the city. We were really excited because the team have prepared our itinerary to experience Bangkok's best.



We stayed in Somerset Hotel located in Sukhumvit Thonglor. The team welcomed us in our suite with wine, fruit and flowers everywhere.




With Melissa, Shai, Vina, Raiza, Ana, Sophie and Rhea in our unplanned color-coordinated outfits for our dinner at Cielo Rooftop Sky Bar.

On our second day, we first visited the Grand Palace.

Good morning Bangkok!
Of course, I will never leave this city without visiting its most famous landmark. We were left in awe with its beautiful architecture and intricate details. 



 


I was wearing shorts that day so I have to cover my legs with sarong.




*speechless*


Another must-try aside from Mango sticky rice is the legit Thai Iced Tea... or what we call milk tea.


After the quick tour, we went to 24 Owls to have lunch.





Then later that afternoon, we visited their headquarters and met with the people behind Malissa Kiss.





Then we had dinner at Chocolate Ville after. THIS PLACE IS AHHH-MAZING.




On our last day, we went on a quick tour around Bangkok's famous shopping places.


And yes, I tried the street food!

Nivea Summer Kick Off 2016

Few weeks back, Nivea brought us to Bohol for a fun summer kick off, introducing their extensive line-up of sun protections that's sure to keep one's skin safe from the sun's harmful rays before, during or after a great sunny moment.



This year's Summer Kick-Off was held in Bohol and we're welcomed with Nivea Sun Products in our rooms. All set for the next day's activities!


Dr. Liang Chen from Beiersdorf Research & Development's Far East Hub discussed topics relating to sun care and how the caring protection of NIVEA SUN lets people fully enjoy sunny moments.



Available in the Philippines this summer, the Nivea Sun Dolls! It aims to show kids the importance of sun protection. Without the caring protection of NIVEA SUN, the UV-sensitive dolls turn pinkish-red when exposed to the sun. Cool, right?! :)


On the second day, we did water activities and relaxed by the beach after.
And guess what, we won the water challenge! :)
