Freeway's National Artist Collectors' Series for this season pays tribute to the life of one of greatest Filipino muralists—Carlos "Botong" V. Francisco. He hails from Angono, Rizal, and is the second painter to be given the National Artist Award after Fernando C. Amorsolo.
Cherie Gil hosted the event.
I attended the event with Daim.
They also had a fashion show where gorgeous models walked the beautiful collection in the runway.
To celebrate his 100th anniversary, Freeway transformed his works into something wearable. Not only do we get to know more about our National Artist, we also get to appreciate more of their works in various mediums. Invited guests enjoyed delectable cocktail servings and took home Freeway x Botong Francisco memorabilia – a special edition Tote Bag from the Holiday collection.
The collection consists of dresses in classic silhouttes with prints of Botong's works, as well as gift items like accessories, watches, and even tech accessories like mouse pads available in stores.
